Simon Nantamu, PHD – Lead Partner
Simon Nantamu is a qualified and experienced consulting Industrial/Organizational Psychologist and ESG/Sustainability Expert who for a greater part of his career of over 20 years has been a consulting Human Resources and Organisational Development Specialist. Simon possesses a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and a Masters in Organisational Psychology both from Makerere University, as well a PhD (Global Health) from Trinity College Dublin, The University of Dublin focusing on human resources for health. Simon attained the Balanced Scorecard Certification from the Palladium Group Inc (2012). Simon also holds a Certificate in Environmental and Social Impact Assessment from Makerere University in collaboration with the National Environment Management Authority (NEMA) and the Uganda Association of Impact Assessors (UAIA). He also completed the Chartered Finance Institute (CFI) Environmental Social & Governance (ESG) Certificate.
Simon is a Member of the Uganda Association of Impact Assessors and also a Certified Environment Practitioner by the National Environment Management Authority (NEMA). He is also a Member of the Global Organisation for Humanitarian Work Psychologists (GOHWP), Member of the Association of Climate Change Officers (ACCO), and Member of Social Entrepreneurs International representing Uganda. Simon’s areas of expertise include:

b) Environmental Social and Governance
Simon has consulted extensively for organisations in various sectors of the economy including government agencies, NGOs (local and international) and private businesses. He is a Director and Lead Partner at Velt Consults Limited.
Eng. John Baptist Matovu – Chief Operations Officer
John Baptist is an accomplished Mechanical Engineer with over 22 years of extensive experience in various fields, including engineering, general management, and project management. He has a proven track record in business development, project planning and management, asset management, procurement, health and safety, financial management, and contract administration. John has been pivotal in managing and coordinating numerous industrial and infrastructure development projects across Uganda and South Sudan. His expertise covers project planning and management, asset management and maintenance, operations financial and business management, procurement and contracts management, health and safety management, and client and stakeholder management. He has held significant roles, including Country Manager at SMEC International Pty Ltd – Uganda & South Sudan, Mechanical Engineer at Uganda Breweries Ltd., and Graduate Trainee/Parts Manager at Toyota Uganda Ltd/Lonrho Motors.
John’s educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Makerere University, postgraduate diplomas in Project Planning and Management and Financial and Business Management from the Uganda Management Institute, an International Diploma in Health & Safety Management from the British Safety Council, and a Diploma in Brewing & Packaging Technology from the Institute of Guild of Brewing/Distilling. He is a Graduate Member of the Uganda Institute of Professional Engineers, a Member of the British Safety Council, and a Member of the Institute & Guild of Brewing/Distilling.
John has successfully overseen key projects such as the Nyamugasani Water Supply and Sanitation System, the Busega-Mpigi Expressway Road Safety Audits and Sensitization, the Kapchorwa-Suam Road Safety Audits and Training, the Rukungiri-Ishasha/Kihihi-Kanungu Road Upgrade, the Kyenjojo-Kahunge-Nyarukoma-Kigarale-Rwamwanja-Kihura Road Feasibility and Design, the Olwiyo-Nimule Transmission Project Feasibility Study, and the Opuyo Substation Upgrade Supervision. His commitment to excellence and strategic vision has driven significant advancements in the projects he has managed, making him a valuable asset to any organization. John is a Director and the Chief Operations Officer at Velt Consults Limited.
